Pages: 9
Era: Animé - Advanced Generation
- Ash and his friends all continue on their adventures through the land of Hoenn when they encounter many wild Pokémon. Naturally, like any trainer would do, they battle and capture as many as they can. But this is where trouble strikes. When Ash tries to call back one of his Pokémon, his Pokéball malfunctions, and inadvertantly zaps himself. Normally the laser only works on Pokémon, but it has mysteriously been able to trap Ash inside the Pokéball. May and Brock are successfully able to get him out, but he has been shrunk down to less than a few inches tall! As Brock panicks wildly about the current situation and how they can fix it and Max is frantically trying to study the condition, May is willing to do whatever it takes to protect the little Ash... Abnormal Ball 2: Tainted Love
(Cubed Cinder)
Pages: 8
Era: Animé - Advanced Generation
- It seems that Abnormal Ball was so good, several people asked me if I could do a sequel to the story. Anyway, after the Safari Zone fiasco that left Ash Ketchum only inches tall, our heroes have put that behind them and moved on. The group encounters several wild Pokémon that they try to catch, but when Brock uses one of his special balls... guess what? The same malfunction has reared its ugly head again and shrunken Brock to inches tall! The group decides to leave Brock into the capable hands of Nurse Joy at the nearby Pokémon Center until they can find a cure for his condition. And considering how Brock never gives up on getting any Nurse Joy to flirt with him, you gotta wonder... Completed September 30, 2004.

While the two stay behind and think of something to do, they suddenly meet up with Misty who is trying to capture a new water Pokémon in Hoenn. Misty screws up on the throw of her two Pokeballs and they end up hitting both May and Max... and guess what? Just like the last two stories, the Pokeballs end up shrinking our heroes to tiny size. - After three different mishandling problems on what should've been their finest piece of technology, Team Rocket finally recovers one of these so-called Abnormal Balls. Giovanni gives everyone one final chance at making sure the ball does what it is supposed to do... to shrink as many Pokémon trainers as possible so that their Pokémon can easily be stolen. For better or worse, our familiar trio (Jessie, James, and Meowth) is assigned the task of finding the twerps and their Pokémon. Although they eventually are successful in shrinking all of our heroes once again (and some other victims), the ball suddenly malfunctions yet again and shrinks THEM as well! So now Ash and his friends, along with the Team Rocket trio, are stuck at tiny size with nobody around to help them out. That is, until a pretty visitor from the land of Fiore shows up... Ash and Iris (with Cilan staying behind to check on his gym) return to Professor Juniper's lab as she wants to demonstrate a new invention she's working on. It's Iris's curiousity with this odd-looking Poke Ball that lands herself and Ash (along with their Pokemon) into getting zapped by the ball, shrinking them to two inches tall. With the ball completely broken, Ash and Iris both have to find a way to catch the now gigantic Juniper's attention... Completed August 14, 2011.

Ash shrinks to around three to four inches tall, leaving him helpless to the normal-sized Misty. But with Christmas cheer in her blood, Misty keeps her activities gentle with the tiny Ash (even showing him the MegaBerry drink that will return him to normal), simultaneously unable to resist the urge to tell him of her love.
